I received a call regarding options for selling Nieux Society tokens. I wanted to provide information for Founders, addressing clarity, structure, and value proposition.
Selling Your Nieux Society Token
Can I sell my token? Absolutely! You own the tokens and have the freedom to sell, keep, or lease it. First, make sure you check your wallet…we’ve added some projects and will continue to add benefits in the future.
How do I sell? You can sell both Founder and Nieux Society on OpenSea (a 10% royalty goes to the artist and NieuxCo) or privately (no commission taken).
Note: To my knowledge, there has been no public sales and one private sale.
Benefits and Value
Do I still get benefits if I sell? No, benefits transfer to current token holders.
What's the token's value? There's no fixed price. The value depends on what someone is willing to pay. We focus on long-term value creation through community and utility. This is not meant to be a trading asset.
To assess value, here is a recap of Founders' Exclusive Benefits over the last 2 years:
Workspace: 500+ days of free co-working space with WiFi, parking, meeting rooms, refreshments (~$2,000-$3,000/year).
Mardi Gras Home base: 2 years access for family and friends to Mardi Gras Homebase on the parade route (~$200/year value, est.).
Events: Invitation to ~181 exclusive events, workshops and celebrations (subjective value).
Food & Drinks: Free drinks and food for 2 years (subjective value).
Projects: Participation in 6 unique projects (subjective value).
Educational content: 110 weekly newsletters and 10 podcasts keeping you informed on what’s next. (subjective value).
Community: Connection to a collective of forward-thinking minds in New Orleans (subjective value).
Ongoing Benefits (lifetime benefits for current token holders):
Workspace Access: Mon-Fri, 10am-5pm workspace with amenities ($2,000-$3,000/year value in relation to other co-working spaces).
VIP Mardi Gras Home Base: Priority access to a prime location on the parade route with bars, food, bathroom for family and friends(~$200/year value, est.).
Invite to Exclusive Events & Workshops: Deepen your knowledge and network (value subjective).
Customized Digital Art: Ownership of a unique digital pieces (value subjective).
Weekly Emails and podcasts: Stay updated on the latest trends (value subjective).
Private Slack Channel: Connect and collaborate online (value subjective).
Secret Garden Cafe Perks: Enjoy exclusive discounts (value subjective).
Future Projects: Gain access to all future Nieux initiatives. We greatly value early believers and have many more ideas up our sleeve! (value subjective).
Transferable Asset: Ability to sell, lease or pass on your membership and benefits (value subjective).
Scarcity: We are closing out the Nieux Society Collection at #1008. Nieux Society Tokens are a one time purchase. Future collections will be a subscription model.
So, what’s the value? If you just look at a lifetime pass to the workspace and Mardi Gras home base…perhaps ~$2,000-$4,000/year. Add in events, education, people and whatever we come up with…let the market place determine the value.
Long-Term Vision
Remember when this whole idea was just a dream? We now have a dedicated space, a remarkable collective, the tools we need, and a vision for the future. Our focus is to strengthen the Collective and execute a busy year, including Super Bowl.
I believe Nieux Society’s value grows over time as we strengthen human connections, inspire creativity and access future opportunities. We are not focused on the short-term price as the long-term benefits and connections hold immense potential.
Personally, my hope is to pass along my tokens to my daughter, so she can always have access to a place of inspiration and new thinking in New Orleans.
